Pompey’s
Pillar |

It
dates from the third century. It is
made of granite, over 25 meters
high, and the last of the remaining
relics of the Serapium. The pillar
was erected in honor of Emperor Diocletian |

Catacombs
of Kom Al-Shuqafa

They consist of three levels cut in
the rock 100 feet deep, they date
back to the turn of the second
century. It is blend of Pharaonic &
Roman art.

Quaitbay
Citadel |

Built on the
northern tip of the eastern port, on
the site where the ancient Pharos of
Alexandria was set up. It was built
in the 15th cencery and
consists of three storeys similar to
medieval fortresses in Egypt. It
houses the naval museum which
revives the marine heritage of
Alexandria.

Roman
Theater |

A small
amphitheater. It consists of 12 rows
of semi-circular marble seats and
considered the only relic of its
kind in Egypt.

Greco-Roman
Museum |

This wonderful
museum contains the largest
collection in Egypt of artifacts
from the Greco-Roman era (roughly
331 BC - AD 300).
